This counter (many thanks to ADAPTT) reveals the number of animals killed worldwide since you opened this webpage. This is not a conclusive number, as it does not contain :

• the millions of animals killed each year in vivisection laboratories;
• the millions of cats and dogs killed in animal shelters each year;
• the millions of animsl who die while being held captive in the 'entertainment' industry of zoos, circuses, rodeos, marine parks, etc;
• the animals killed while forced into blood 'sports' such as bullfighting, cokfighting, dogfighting and bear-baiting;
• horses and greyhounds killed after they were no longer deemed suitable for racing.
